Mozilla's Firefox OS to start European journey with Deutsche Telekom and Alcatel.


Deutsche Telekom at a press conference in Warsaw, Poland announced that it will start selling Alcatel One Touch Fire powered by Firefox OS starting 12 of July via online and from 15 of July nationwide via its outlets.

Following that, it plans to enter Germany via Congstar, Deutsche Telekom's second brand, then Hungary and Greece by this fall.

In a statement issued by Mozilla's Executive Chairperson, Mitchell Baker said, "Thanks to our active community, Poland has always been a stronghold for Firefox and Mozilla. It has been great to work with a local partner that shares our enthusiasm for the idea of an open Web device." He added, "We are excited to see T-Mobile launching a Firefox OS device in Poland."
