Quick Maps add-on for Firefox lets you see the address on Google Maps without opening it.


Quick Maps is add-on for Firefox, developed my Mapify. Quick Maps lets you see the address on Google Maps with out opening it, when you hover your mouse over the address or when you select the address and "Right Click" (RMB) to look it directly.

Right now, it works for some countries like USA, UK, Spain, Italy, France, Germany and some others which the developer didn't mention. This add-on or the extension is available for Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

'Save to Pluse' extension for Chrome lets you save and read articles later with Beautiful UI.


You might be familiar with Pulse app. If not, Pulse is a mobile app which lets you organize and read article from the genre you desire, with its beautiful User Interface (UI).

"Save to Pulse" is an extension for Chrome developed by pulse.me. This extension lets you save the article which is loaded on your browser and helps you to read it later with its beautiful UI on your Mobile app or on the browser itself.

Opera buys Skyfire, a popular Mobile based browser for deep mobile penetration and monetization.

Skyfire CEO, Jeff Glueck was excited to announce that their company Skyfire will be now part of Opera Software, a popular web browser. This deal costed Opera a $ 155 million, which includes cash and stock, and the acquisition is expected to completed my mid March, 2013.

Skyfire was founded back in 2007, provide cloud solution for mobility. Skyfire, which is know for its Rocket Optimizer and Skyfire Horizon, provides network optimization technologies which monetization tools for US Cell Carriers and video optimization for hand-held devices.

WebRTC brings High Definition communication across Open Browsers.



Now, we can have HD video chats with crystal clear voice with low delay communication, thanks to WebRTC. This technology is being nurtured by open web community, which includes engineers from Mozilla and Chrome, which seems to be in final phase of testing. Credit also goes to W3C and IETF communities in developing the platform which could work across open browsers to provide rich, secure communication directly from the browser.

Mozilla Firefox users to get more grip on security in upcoming update.


Mozilla plans to overhaul the way Firefox used handle third party plugins. With the recent Java Plug-in vulnerability, Mozilla is changing the way Firefox loads plugins. Which means that our much need plugins like Java, Silverlight and others will be disable by default. With the change, Mozilla thinks that it will help increase the Firefox performance and stability and provide substantial security cover to user, and at the same time handing over more power to users.
